ARTISTIC STATEMENT

Through dance, I seek to explore the hope and spirit of this beloved art form. My choreography is an exploration and an aim to highlight what I love doing most – find the passion within and translate that into movement, reflecting the inward self, the beauty of hope, and the strength that lies within each of us.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

I am rooted in sharing my love and passion for dance with others, providing students with the knowledge and skill to grow in both their artistry and athleticism. I aim to create an environment that promotes safety and wellness in the training process, and in the long run maximizes and sustains students’ abilities to dance. Dance has no limitations, and it is my hope to make it known to every student that what they bring into the studio space is a gift, being valued and appreciated on every level. With the understanding that no student is alike, all coming from various backgrounds and learning styles, I aim to tailor my teaching to the individual needs of the students. I do not expect perfection and instead place value on the dedication and passion instilled in students to continually grow in their dance journey. As a dance educator, I recognize that I am also constantly growing and learning alongside my students. I hope that through my teaching, students are able to truly appreciate and enjoy the art of dance.
